Weatherproof Distribution Boxes (HT Model Outdoor IP65)

Weatherproof distribution box with a transparent hinged cover, designed to house DIN-rail breakers (MCB/RCCB/RCBO) and protect circuits in indoor/outdoor installations. Typically IP65-rated (model dependent), with multiple sizes available for flexible circuit capacity and clean surface-mounted wiring.
Unit: PCS

These weatherproof distribution boxes are rugged, surface-mounted enclosures designed to house and protect modular DIN-rail devices such as MCB, RCCB, RCBO, isolators, contactors, timers, and surge protection devices (SPD). Built for indoor or outdoor electrical installations, they provide a clean, organized, and code-friendly solution for distributing power while shielding equipment from dust, splashing water, and harsh site conditions.

The enclosure features a smoked/transparent hinged front cover that allows quick visual inspection of breaker status without opening the door. This helps improve safety, reduces unnecessary access, and supports faster troubleshooting. Multiple sizes are available (as shown), making the series suitable for small single-circuit boards as well as multi-circuit distribution requirements.

Typical Applications / Use Cases

  • Outdoor and indoor sub-distribution boards for villas, apartments, shops, offices, and warehouses

  • Garden, irrigation, pool and fountain control boards

  • Car wash, workshops, garages, and rooftop services

  • HVAC outdoor isolations and equipment feeders

  • Temporary site distribution (when installed correctly with proper cable glands and protection)

Construction & Materials

  • Enclosure body: impact-resistant, flame-retardant thermoplastic (typically ABS/PC, model-dependent)

  • Cover/door: transparent or smoked clear hinged door for visibility and protection

  • Seal: perimeter gasket to maintain ingress protection and improve weather sealing

  • Fasteners: corrosion-resistant hardware (model-dependent)

  • Finish: clean white/gray body suitable for building services environments

Electrical Layout & Compatibility

  • Mounting system: internal DIN rail for standard modular devices (35 mm DIN)

  • Configurable space: available in multiple “ways” (board capacities vary by model/series) to accommodate combinations such as:

    • Main switch + multiple MCB/RCBO circuits

    • RCCB groups + MCB outgoing circuits

    • SPD + breakers + control components (timers/relays/contactors)

  • Cable entry: pre-formed knockouts (top/bottom/sides depending on model) for flexible cable routing

  • Accessories: internal mounting plate/DIN rail brackets and fixing points (as supplied per model)

Protection / Ratings (Typical for This Type of Enclosure)

Final ratings depend on the exact model; confirm from the label or datasheet for your supplied version.

  • Ingress Protection (IP): typically IP65 (dust-tight and protected against water jets)

  • Impact resistance (IK): commonly IK07–IK08 range for weatherproof boards (model-dependent)

  • Operating environment: suitable for damp locations and outdoor installations when properly sealed

  • Installation type: surface mounting on walls or flat panels

Installation Notes (Best Practice)

  • Use correct cable glands and seal unused knockouts to maintain IP rating.

  • Keep cable entry downward-facing where possible (drip-loop technique) to reduce water tracking.

  • Install on a stable vertical surface, and ensure the door closes fully for proper sealing.

  • Device selection (MCB/RCCB/RCBO ratings, short-circuit capacity, etc.) should follow project design and local electrical requirements.
